  1. Hello!
My name is Diana, I am romanian and I'm 18. I want to study in Denmark and I found my perfect university but unforturnately I have to know Danish. So I was thinking that maybe after high school I could take a year off and learn Danish in Denmark, so that I can learn it properly. But of course I should work while I am there. So my question is.. Is it possible for me to work there, when all I've gratuated is highschool? I know English and German-I will get my CAE and das Deutsche Sprachdiplom this year. I also have some IT skills - Microsoft Office (word, excel, access, powerpoint, publisher), Internet, and I can learn Photoshop anytime. I am an ambitious and hard working girl and I really want to study at that university. So please, tell me if it is possible for me to work there.
    Thank you so much!

  2. Diana,
I found your comment by randomly browsing through the blogs. Looks like you have great ambitions and you need some help.
Firstly, why have you chosen a study programme in Danish language? There are plenty of study programmes in English at KU, DTU, IT University and others. However, a break after the high school is a very wise decision, since you can enjoy your life for a year and decide corretly what you wanna study further.
But I would not be so optimistic to learn Danish language in one year, it's a very difficult language, even with the intense studies I think one would need at least two years to speak it. But it's also personal, for some people it's quick to learn new language. By the way, understanding German would also help to learn Danish.
The good thing in Denmark is, that you can imigrate and truly have all the rights for any job. It's only a matter of your qualifications and luck of finding the actual job.
Cleaning job adverts like this really sucks, and I do not understand why do they ask for Danish language. It's more than stupid.
There are some Vikar companies (temporary employment), which could offer you similar jobs. I've worked a few of jobs like this when I moved to Denmark, everyone has to start with something.
So don't stress about the language too much because everyone in Denmark speaks English fluently :)
    Good luck.
