Skilled chef to the canteen at DTU Lyngby Campus

Campus Service (CAS) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is seeking a talented, outgoing and competent chef / cater to the canteen 342 at DTU Lyngby Campus . In the kitchen we have 3 employees who daily make lunch for about 400 guests. Additionally sold also breakfast.



We focus on health in combination with good taste and nice presentation. Team spirit is fresh and always with a good tone. We work together and help each other with various tasks - for the benefit of our customers and the business. Customers are students as well as staff and external. The cafeteria also serves as a study, ie that students can stay in the canteen area out of hours and there is also occasionally teaching in the area.

CAS is a modern facility management organization that takes care of the operation, maintenance and development of DTU's buildings and facilities. CAS Service Center handles a number of service functions, aimed directly at students, staff and university guests from home and abroad, such as street cleaning, reception, canteen, guard & security, events, etc. Are you passionate about creating new exciting food and provide good service , you are innovative chef / Cater and loves to cook from scratch with fresh ingredients and in season. You know that good quality gives taste an extra boost and you look forward to delight the same customers with variation, new taste and healthy food. The job involves: 

  • A permanent full-time position in which the working week average is 36, 3 hours, canteen 342 will be closed for 6 weeks during the summer.
  • The canteen's opening hours are 7:45 to 13:30, and your work will be approximately 7:00 to 14:18.
  • Tasks in hot, cold, salad, baking and creative dish.
  • Tasks IFB. with box sales.
  • Participation in all the other tasks which we have in common, eg. Menus, cleaning, dishwashing, cleaning etc..
  • Gastronomic accomplished chef / Cater

We expect you to:

  • is skilled chef / cater with some years of experience, much like from a similar kitchen
  • has a hygiene certificate
  • has extensive experience in handling fresh produce and ecology
  • is creative in terms of both preparation and serving
  • is a good and service-minded fellow who like to work with all tasks
  • looking forward to listening to customer needs and value their opinion
