Primary Job Responsibilities
The QA Engineer will be responsible for writing test plans and test cases and managing their execution.
You will play a key role in the testing of complex, multi-tiered distributed web applications.
You must be adept at working both as an individual and in groups/teams in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with rapid development life cycles.
Strong written and verbal communication is essential; as you will regularly collaborate with other QA engineers, product managers, Business Unit members, software developers and operations staff.
Must have an excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, familiar with web development and testing methodologies: browser compatibility, cookies, redirects, http response headers, log analysis, HTTP, DNS protocols and security certificates.
Actively participate in evaluations and actions to improve QA collaboration and overall quality of the DBA products.
Analyze product requirements, create test plans.
Execute testing tasks, analyze results and report status, escalating issues as appropriate.
Coordinate and lead efforts for group testing tasks on a project basis.
Pair with developers for test automation.
Proactively solve problems, suggest process and project improvements.
Identify project risks and recommend actions to minimize risk.
Share knowledge with peers, mentor less experienced team members.
Applying risk-based testing concepts.
Internal functional support towards different departments.
Job Requirements
Good knowledge of Selenium or other test automation is required.
Good knowledge of HTML and internet technologies is required.
Good knowledge of .Net is a plus.
Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) development and agile testing is a plus.
Knowledge of SQL and SQLServer database is a plus.
Knowledge of Atlassian Jira or similar tools is a plus.
ISEB/ISTQB certification is a plus.
