Systems Specialists/Systems Developers (6785)

Sted: Danmark - Bjerringbro

Would you like to help future proof and further develop a Java based MES platform used in the electronics production in Grundfos?

In the next 5-8 years the production in our electronics factories will be based on our current MES platform. Thus, we now initiate a process of future proofing and further development of the platform – based on a Grundfos developed system, written in Java.

We are now looking for 3 dynamic and ambitious Systems Developers for our competence centre in Bjerringbro to become the main drivers in developing the platform.

Want a career in a global organisation?
You will join Global Development Factory – Manufacturing (GDF-M) - an independent focus area in our global IT organisation. We develop, deliver and support solutions for Grundfos’ production lines in more than 20 production sites all over the world. We have developed a palette of solutions covering MES, Marking systems, Test systems and Quality data systems. We are currently 10 people in our competence centre in Bjerringbro and 5 in Shanghai.

An exciting development opportunity in a new team
As our new college, we offer you an exciting job in a busy environment where you will be working together with partners – both locally and globally. You will be part of a new team where one of the first tasks will be to help define the basis from which the team will work. The setup is a SCRUM based development model, and we wish to ensure the quality of both exiting and new software through the use of unit test and continuous integration.

As part of the new team, your main responsibilities will be to:
Secure the right foundation for developing solutions in close collaboration with our partners
Secure the continuous development of our solutions, including system and application architecture – focusing on a service oriented architecture, re-use and documentation
Ensure a successful transfer of the developed solutions to our installation and support organisation

You work closely with the team and the rest of the GDF-M department to continuously improve and mature the competences in the department.

Want to exceed limits?
At Grundfos we encourage our employees to exceed limits by using and developing their own potential. Thus, you will be given excellent opportunities to influence your job and we strongly encourage you to spot new trends and best practices within software technologies – and be an active contributor to improvement activities. Further, you will join a company focusing on attractive employment conditions, job satisfaction and work/life balance.

Innovative Java developer
You hold a Master of Science or Data Engineering degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with software development to support production processes. You have a keen interest in system and application architecture and you are an experienced Java developer. Knowledge of unit test, build scripts and continuous integration is a plus. You have experience with iterative development processes (SCRUM), and you continuously focus on making improvement in the every day work. You speak and write English.

As a person you are team oriented, and you find it challenging to form and be part of a new team. However, you thrive working independently – also with larger tasks. You are innovative and outgoing, and showing initiative comes naturally to you. Finally, you thrive in a global organisation with many cultural differences.

If you have questions or want to know more about the positions, please contact Global IS Department Head, Arne Birk +45 87 50 40 56 or +45 29 47 04 56.
