You will be part of Embedded Software streaming, which is part of the ES domain, where a total of 55 employees. In Embedded Software streaming, there are 12 very talented and experienced software developers who are responsible for implementing embedded software on Oticon's hearing aid and wireless platforms. Software included in all WDH's brand (Oticon, Bernafon & Sonic)
You will refer to Embedded Software stream manager, but will have a broad interface for large parts of Embedded Software streaming and other stakeholders in the ES domain, such as algorithm developers, tools developers and testers.
The job
you have to develop exciting and relevant solutions directly impact the end user. You will be part of a competent and well-run department with excellent opportunities for collaboration and professional development in terms of development languages and methods, but also in relation to the used technologies and platforms which are being developed. Your primary task is developing software for embedded DSP and microcontrollers, including the following:
Participating in architecture and modular design
Prepare development documentation from requirements for preparation of test specification
Implementation of application software on DSPs (TI) and microcontroller (ARM)
Supporters test center and production
Agile software development
It is important that you can analyze the task, make robust estimates for planning and performing according to plan. Eventually you will build a core competence in application development on one or more embedded software platforms.
Experience and Qualifications
You have a long higher education as a M.Sc. / B.Sc. / Computer Engineering, preferably supplemented with some years experience in a similar position within the hearing aid industry or the telecommunications and audio electronics industry in general. You have gained
experience in the following areas:
Embedded software development
Implementation of Real-Time Systems
DSP programming
C / C + +
Signal processing / implementation of algorithms
RTOS / Real-Time Development
OO development principles
Agile software development
Additionally, it is advantageous if you have experience working with software according to FDA / MDD requirements and have knowledge of Assembler programming and wireless communications protocols (such Bluetoooth, Nordic RF). Experience working with SCRUM would be an additional plus.
