The IT Application department in our Energy IT organization is responsible for the analysis of and guidance on the application demand. The team is also responsible for the design and further development of existing as well as new applications and for the implementation and daily operation. The department is expanding and we are therefore looking for an experienced System Administrator for the PLM / CAD team at our global head office in Brande, Denmark. The team comprises highly skilled PLM / CAD specialists and supports our global communication and collaboration backbone, Team Center, and CAD software, primarily in Europe, the US and APAC (Asia Pacific).

Work Assignments

As a System Administrator your responsibilities will cover:

• Ensuring configuration of applications, databases, and web servers

• Handling performance monitoring and tuning of servers

• Collaborating with internal and external infrastructure suppliers

• Being responsible for client software deployment

• Being responsible for server setup and deployment on new global sites

• Participating in 2nd level support together with the team

• Participating in the continuous roll-out and development of the PLM platform

Your Profile

You have a relevant educational background, e.g. as an information technologist or data technician, combined with 3+ years of experience working with system administration, preferably in a medium or large production company. Hands-on experience with database configuration and tuning (MS SQL and Oracle), web servers (web logic and IIS), general application server setup, and scripting/programming is a prerequisite in this position. Good understanding of network setup and configuration, virtual machines, JAVA and Windows Server OS will be seen as an advantage but not a requirement.

As a person you have a structured and quality-oriented approach to your assignments. Besides, you have the ability to work and navigate in a dynamic and international environment with many interfaces. Finally, you possess strong English skills both orally and in writing.
